Taste of the South 2026 – A Celebration of Flavor, Culture, and Community
Get ready for an unforgettable evening as the Black History Committee and Culinary Arts Program proudly present our annual Taste of the South on June 19, 2026.
Now in its third year—and after selling out two years in a row—this highly anticipated event returns bigger than ever, bringing together bold Southern flavors, live music, and a vibrant atmosphere that’s the perfect way to kick off your weekend.
Taste of the South is more than just a dinner—it’s a celebration of Southern culture, community, and scholarship. Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated menu designed and prepared by our talented culinary students and graduates. These rising chefs have showcased their skills in prestigious competitions like SkillsUSA, contributed to elite dining experiences such as the Escoffier Dinner Series, and even trained internationally through programs like the Goellner Exchange in France.
Each dish tells a story—rooted in tradition, inspired by innovation, and crafted with excellence.
This event also serves a greater purpose. Proceeds directly support student success, with 40% benefiting the Gwen Fisher Memorial Scholarship, helping provide critical resources for students to achieve their academic and professional goals.
Join us for an evening filled with incredible food, soulful energy, and meaningful impact. Whether you're a lover of Southern cuisine, a supporter of student success, or simply looking for a memorable night out, Taste of the South promises an experience you won’t want to miss.
Bold Flavors. Southern Roots. One Unforgettable Night.
